Powering up technical skills

JumpStart, our legacy Skills Development platform, has evolved into a portfolio of demand-led programmes across the retail, manufacturing, logistics and agricultural value chains.

Responding to critical needs

We work closely with employers, mentors, industry partners and work experience hosts to co-create demand-led, scalable programmes that respond to evolving market needs.

Skills training

Spanning two weeks to eight months, programmes combine life skills with technical training and immersive workplace experience, equipping candidates with the competencies valued by employers.

Partner pipeline

Participants are channelled into the talent pipeline, with opportunities for placement across our network of employer partners, including Mr Price Group businesses and The SPAR Group.

Value creation

Deep data insights and monitoring capabilities ensure real-time response to job opportunities, leading to higher employment absorption and sustained conversion rates. This approach creates cost effective, work-ready talent pipelines for employers while opening clear pathways to sustainable employment for youth.

Our Skills Development Programmes provide training on demand, to youth across South Africa.

Training takes place in major cities, including Durban, Cape Town, Johannesburg and Pretoria. Training is area specific and is hosted according to industry demand.

This is a work experiential training programme that equips youth to be workplace-ready. We are not a recruitment agency and jobs are not guaranteed. However, with our networks, there are possible opportunities.

Please note: we do not charge application or other fees and do not advertise jobs for Mr Price Group. Be aware of scams claiming to originate from Mr Price Foundation and asking for payment.

Absolutely not. Mr Price Foundation does not require payment for any of its programmes or to undertake any tests. Please do not fall victim to scams requesting fees of any nature.

Life Skills helps you develop the personal, social and professional skills needed to thrive in life and the workplace.

Participants must have access to data and either a smartphone, tablet or computer.

 If all training is complete and your logbook has been signed, simply log in to the platform at https://www.rbslearning.co.za/ and download your certificate online. Contact your Regional Coordinator directly for assistance.

No, applicants may only apply for one JumpStart programme, so please pick your programme carefully before applying. If you have applied for the wrong programme, email [email protected] to resolve.

The programme does not guarantee a job but offers a jump start into the working world by providing work experience. It’s up to you to find a job. If you have not been contacted within six months, please contact your Regional Coordinator directly for assistance.
